Bermuda Triangle – One
of the most notorious places on earth is an area in the Atlantic Ocean of
approximately 500,000 square miles that sits between Miami, Puerto Rico, and
Bermuda. It is also known as the Devil’s triangle due to multiple aircraft and
ships that had vanished into thin air under mysterious circumstances.
Though there are many theories on why ships and aircrafts
disappear without a trace in the Bermuda Triangle, the ones that have garnered
the most interest are the paranormal speculations. Some theories that have been
suggested is as a parallel universe time warp that sucks all the objects into a
parallel universe or possibly UFO’s, and even leftover Atlantis technology that
caused the disappearances.
Let us know in the comments which theories do you believe
in? If you want to know more about the Bermuda Triangle, check out this book

The Island of Dolls –
If you find dolls creepy then this is one island you should stay clear of.
That is because the entire island is filled with various styles of creepy dolls
hanging from trees and buildings. Located
in the channels of Xochimilco to the south of Mexico City, it was said that the
dolls were placed there by the owner of the island Julian Santana Barrera
Legend has it, that a young girl had drowned in the area and
Julian had heard her spirit crying for her doll. He believed that by hanging
the dolls on the island, it would help keep away the spirit of the girl away. The
story gets even creepier when the owner of the island was eerily found dead in
the same spot where the girl had drowned.
In the description box below we left a link to a book called the island dolls, the world’s scariest place for those who want to know more about this mysterious island.

Lochness – Loch
(which stands for lake in Gaelic) is a large freshwater lake located in in the
Scottish highlands. What makes this lake
mysterious is what might be lurking in the water. It is believed that a
prehistoric dinosaur type of creature that has been often described as sea
serpent that lives in the lake and numerous alleged sightings have been
reported over the years. It has been referred to as the Lochness monster or
Nessie.
To further add to the mystery, the water in the lake is
pitch black due to the peet from the surrounding hills. That makes it an
excellent environment for a hiding place for a sea monster, if it exists.
Let us know in the comments if you believe the Lochness
monster is real or a hoax.

Gateway to Hell –
The Darvaza gas crater located in Turkmenistan is a burning natural gas field in
a sunken cavern. The crater is approximately 200 feet wide and 90 feet deep.
The origin on how the crater was ignited varies but a
popular theory is that soviet scientists intentionally had the fire lit in 1971
to prevent the spread of methane gas after drilling too deep for oil. It’s been
5 decades since the gateway to hell been on fire.
It has since become a popular tourist attraction but if you want to check it out for yourself, do it soon as possible because the Turkmenistan’s government might have plans to put the fire out on the gateway to hell permanently according to an article by BBC.

Terracotta Army. Somewhere
in central China is an army of silent soldiers that are standing guard for all
of eternity. These immortal soldiers are known as the Terracotta army and they
were made to guard the tomb of China’s first emperor Qin Shi Huang in the
afterlife. This mysterious silent army still stands guard to this day and can
be seen in the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor located in Lintong District, Xi'an,
Shaanxi province of China.
The figures were discovered by local farmers in 1974 and dates
all the way back to the 3rd century BCE. Up to 8,000 soldiers, 520
horses, 130 chariots were. What’s even more incredible is that each of the
warriors has a different face – and was it meant to resemble a real life person
at the time? That is a mystery that will remain forever unknown.

Catcacombs – Not
everything in Paris is all about fine dining, wine, and Eiffel tower. There is
a mysterious past that can be found under the city, literally. The catacombs of
Paris is an underground tunnel coffin that holds the remains of over 6 million
people that was created in 1774, as a solution to help remove the cities’
overcrowded cemeteries.
The underground tomb is lined with the skulls and bones
arranged in large piles and walls that circle around the tunnel network. This
should be enough to creep anyone out from visiting but instead had quite the
opposite effect. The catacombs are now a tourist attraction to millions of visitors
a year, which includes criminals and secret societies.
But wait, it gets even wilder. In 2004, police discovered a movie theater in the catacombs with a giant cinema screen, seats for audience, a full bar, lounge, and a living area. Even Airbnb offer customers to stay overnight in the catacombs as part of a publicity stunt in 2015. Would you take up on that offer? Let us know in the comments below.
